Prior to the first match of the day, hot (15 min) and cold lines (approx.10 min) will
alternate until the start. This accommodates for arrivals, equipment set-up, and
practice.
1).Before the beginning of the match target distribution to shooters is given out and a
brief safety meeting is conducted. After the meeting all shooters should return to their
benches.
2) If the range is hot then at the appropriate time initiate the beginning of the match by
announcing: "ONE MINUTE WARNING TO MAKE THE FIRING LINE COLD".
3) At the end of 1 minute and Upon verification that the range is safe ( all shooters off
the range ), the Match Director will announce "SHOOTERS, MAKE ALL ACTIONS
OPEN AND SAFETY DEVICES IN PLACE THEN STEP AWAY FROM YOUR
BENCHES BEHIND THE SHOOTING LINE."  (Upon verification everyone is behind the
yellow line ) announce: “THE FIRING LINE IS COLD ”. The Red flag moved inward.
Then announce: "SHOOTERS YOU MAY GO FORWARD AND PLACE YOUR
TARGETS".
4) After shooters return from the range and all are behind the yellow line  and upon
verification that the range is safe, the Match Director will make the firing line hot. The
RED flag is moved outward and announce "THE FIRING LINE IS HOT" then
announce "SHOOTERS, TO YOUR BENCHES YOU HAVE 5 MINUTES TO AIR UP
YOUR RIFLE AND MAKE READY, DO NOT LOAD YOUR RIFLE UNTIL AFTER THE
COMMENCE FIRE."
5.) After the designated time, announce:  “ANY SHOOTERS ON THE LEFT NOT
READY, RAISE YOUR HAND", if OK, announce “ANY SHOOTERS ON THE RIGHT
NOT READY, RAISE YOUR HAND” . (Anyone not ready is granted only 3 minutes to
resolve their issue.) If ok announce: "THE FIRING LINE IS READY" "THEN START
THE RECORDING."
6.) After the cease fire shooters listing to the recording should make their rifles safe and
step behind the yellow line. (Upon verification everyone is behind the yellow line )
The Red flag is moved inward. Then announce: “THE FIRING LINE IS
COLD, SHOOTERS YOU MAY GO FORWARD AND REPLACE YOUR TARGETS" ( Be
sure to tell them where to bring their retrieved targets)
7)  For Rounds 2 and 3 repeat steps 4 & 5.
8) After the 3rd target or last round keep the firing line hot allowing the shooters to clear
their benches and remain behind the yellow line. Then make the line cold following
proper protocols. ( Remind shooters to remain for the score results and awards ) Then
